Governor Ted Strickland Visits OSU Newark Campus
In late August, Governor Ted Strickland spent an afternoon on Ohio State’s Newark Campus. Escorted by OSU Newark Dean Bill McDonald, the Governor saw several buildings on campus, learned about how the school works with The Central Ohio Technical College and took time to talk with several students, faculty and members of the OSU Newark Board.
The Governor was joined on the tour by State Representatives Jay Hottinger and Dan Dodd.
After the tour, the Governor held a press conference where he highlighted the two year tuition freeze passed as part of the state’s current operating budget, as well as his vision for the new University System of Ohio.
