Curt Steiner Senior Vice President Curt Steiner manages the university’s public policy advocacy at the state, federal and local levels. He is a member of the Executive Committee of the administration of President E. Gordon Gee.
Steiner formerly was Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Steiner/Lesic Communications and CEO of HMS Success Public Relations.
Steiner’s career also included service as Chief of Staff and Communications Director for Ohio Governor George Voinovich and Chief of Staff to Ohio House Speaker Jo Ann Davidson. Steiner has been principal media strategist for members of the U.S. Senate, U.S. House of Representatives, Ohio General Assembly, and the Ohio Supreme Court.
Steiner began his professional career in public broadcasting. He was a news manager, producer, and reporter for WOUB Radio and TV in Athens, Ohio. He was a high honors graduate of Ohio University, where he studied communications, political science, and English.
