Associate Vice President
Richard Stoddard has overall responsibility for Government Relations at The Ohio State University. He is responsible for the coordination of responses to federal, state and community policies. He works with administrators and faculty on the development of federal initiatives for the University.
Richard chairs the Big Ten Federal Relations Council and is a past chair of the Council on Government Affairs of the National Association of State Universities and Land-Grant Colleges (NASULGC). He serves on the Executive Committee of the NASULGC Commission on International Programs, the NASULGC Commision on Diversity and Success and the Kellogg Commission Implementation Group. Richard currently serves as chair of the Board of Directors of the Midwestern Universities Consortium for International Activities (MUCIA) and has extensive experience in Latin America. He has held a variety of positions at the department, college, and central administration level during his time at the University.
Richard is a 1966 graduate of The Ohio State University where he majored in Political Science.
