

The Office of State Relations at Ohio State represents the University by building and maintaining good working relationships with State Senators and Representatives along with their legislative staff as well as other State Office Holders to shape and respond to legislative, regulatory and budget actions affecting the higher education community. Activities include monitoring legislation of interest to Ohio State and higher educational institutions, identifying emerging issues, recommending strategies and advocating the position of the University. The office also serves as a resource for faculty, staff and students by providing assistance and information on matters affecting the University community.

Sandra Carrillo
Staff Assistant for State and Community Relations
Sandra provides administrative staff support for Colleen O'Brien, Jack Hershey and Dawn Tyler Lee for state and community relations. She manages daily officer operations, coordinates schedules and arranges meetings and travel. She also responds to legislative and/or constituent requests.
