Welcome to the Office of Government Affairs at The Ohio State University. We are a multipurpose office based in Columbus, Ohio, with an office in Washington, D.C. The office supports the university in advocacy, policy, and stakeholder engagement.

We connect our campus leaders, students, and faculty to the government and community.

The Office of Government Affairs serves as the liaison between the university and all levels of government: federal, state, and local. We strive to advance the university’s mission of teaching, research, and public service, thereby enhancing educational opportunities for our students, faculty, and staff as well as the citizens of Ohio. We are committed to developing strong partnerships between our public officials and the university in order to build a better university and a more prosperous Ohio.
